The driver of the ill-fated truck, which plunged over a precipice in the Rio Grande Valley on December 19, has turned himself in to the police.

He is 31-year-old Christopher Devon Clarke of a Port Antonio address.

Our news centre understands that Mr Clarke along with his attorney Karl McDonald went to the Port Antonio police about 2:15 a.m. this morning.

CCN Liaison officer for the parish Sergeant Dwayne Campbell says Mr Clarke will be undergoing counselling.

Fourteen people including a 10 ten-year old boy were killed in the crash.

Seven persons who survived the accident are recuperating. Three of them remain hospitalised.
