He was accompanied by his lawyer Karl McDonald.

The Constabulary Communication Network Liaison Officer for Portland, Sergeant Dwayne Campbell says Mr. Clarke will be undergoing counselling.

Mr. Clarke was on the run for ten days after the market truck he was driving went over a precipice in the Rio Grande Valley.

Of the seven persons who survived the accident, one man, Lynford Jackson, remains hospitalised, recovering from a fractured arm and leg.

Member of Parliament for East Portland Dr. Donald Rhodd is renewing calls for the Government to carry out emergency repairs to the main roads in the Rio Grande valley.

According to Dr. Rhodd retaining walls are urgently needed at the site of the tragic accident as well as in Kent, Friday and London.

He is also expressing gratitude on behalf of the citizens of the Rio Grande Valley, for the assistance provided by the government to the families affected by the tragic crash.

Dr Rhodd is also thanking the religious organisations, relief agencies and private citizens who have supported the efforts to help those affected.
