Police prepare for New Years Eve celebrations

The Police High Command is working to ensure that adequate security measures are in place for the various New Years Eve celebrations across the island.



Among the scheduled events is ‘Fireworks on the Waterfront’ in downtown Kingston.



Assistant Commissioner of Police in Charge of Operations, Owen Ellington says the various divisional commanders have made preparations for the various other events.



Members of the Constabulary Force will be especially vigilant for persons who drink alcohol and drive motor vehicles added ACP Ellington.
