Seaga hospitalised in Florida

Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga has been admitted to hospital in Florida.
Former special assistant to Mr. Seaga, Prudence Kidd-Deans says he’s currently undergoing tests after suffering a bout of uncontrollable coughing during a visit to his daughter and her family.
Mr. Seaga has a history of sinusitis and suffered an attack of pneumonia in 1997.
Mrs. Kidd-Deans says he’s in currently in high spirits.
Mr. Seaga was prime minister of Jamaica under a Jamaica Labour Party government from 1980 to 1989.
He served as leader of the opposition from 1974 to 1980 and again from 1989 until January 2005.
