Lawyer helps J’can immigrants

A British court has heard that a criminal lawyer allegedly assisted illegal Jamaican immigrants to obtain fake United Kingdom passports.

It is claimed that Lennox Manifold used stolen identities including those of a paraplegic man and dead children to get the documents.

Prosecutors also claim that Manifold countersigned 16 passport applications for Jamaicans including convicted drug dealers deported from Britain.

However Manifold has denied conspiracy to obtain property by deception.
