Prince Edward’s visit to Jamaica postponed

The National Awards Authority in a release today said due to the adverse weather conditions in England, it is impossible for Prince Edward to travel to Jamaica.



The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Jamaica, Gold Award Ceremony, which was scheduled for Tuesday February 3 at King’s House, has been postponed. Prince Edward was to present to the awards.



Prince Edward was also expected to participate in other activities in support of the awards programme in Jamaica. These events have also been cancelled.



Prince Edward is the chairman for the international Council which is responsible for the award programme internationally.
