The King and Queen of Spain have rescheduled their visit to Jamaica for later this month.

They should have arrived earlier this week, but the visit had to be postponed because of a terrible snowstorm in London, which prevented travel.

The Health and Environment Ministry said Spanish Ambassador to Jamaica Jesus Silva, has confirmed the visit of King Juan Carlos the first and Queen Sofia.

The King and Queen of Spain are to visit the official opening of the newly refurbished Ward One at the Spanish Town Hospital during their trip.

The ward was refurbished by the Government of Spain at a cost of 325-thousand Euros.

The Ward which will be officially opened on February 18 will house the Physiotherapy Department and the new Medical Ward.
