Hanover traffic changes

The National Works Agency (NWA) will introduce new traffic arrangements in Lucea, Hanover today.

The agency says the changes are in an effort to reduce the growing problem of congestion along Main Street in the town.

Beginning today, the flow of traffic along Moseley Drive will be reverted to the one-way system which was originally introduced in August last year.

Moseley Drive up to the intersection with Main Street will once again become a one way, travelling in a northerly direction.

The flow of traffic along Crissy’s Lane will be reversed.

Crissy’s Lane will now be converted to one way in a north westerly direction.

The NWA says the traffic changes are expected to effectively reduce congestion in the town and will complement the parking restrictions that are already in place.

Main Street is located in the heart of the Lucea business district and is also a major link to the neighbouring towns of Green Island in Hanover and Negril in Westmoreland.
