One of Jamaica’s most outstanding medical professors, Dr. Charles Denbow is dead.

He was ailing for some time.

Dr. Denbow, who was a consultant cardiologist, had been a senior lecturer in medicine at the University of the West Indies since 1986.

In April last year, he was awarded the Order of Distinction in recognition of his commitment to the field of medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr Denbow devised creative solutions to promote medical research and improve the quality of patient care in Jamaica.
