The police have still not charged one of their colleagues who was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of corruption.
He is constable Conrod Collins of the West Kingston police division.
The police said last Friday Constable Collins solicited $350,000 to release a man who was in custody on assault, kidnapping and gun charges.
Investigators said the constable accepted $20,000 as a down payment and was promised another tranche of $150,000.
The police said an under-cover operation was set up and constable Collins was held after he went to collect the money.
Two other constables who were seen with him were also arrested but were released after they were questioned.
