A number of roadways remain blocked in St. Mary following landslides and flooding associated with recent heavy rains.
Mayor of Port Maria Richard Creary said work teams from the National Works Agency (NWA) are now in the affected areas trying to reopen some of the roads.
He said a section of the Mount Charles to Top Derry and Hamstead to Ballads Valley roadways have collapsed.
Mayor Creary said the Richmond to Rose Hill roadway has also been affected.
He said disaster officials are continuing assessments of the affected communities.
Mr. Creary said a team from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security are also carrying out assessment of the houses, which were damaged during the heavy rainfall.
