Abducted Westmoreland girl’s body found

The body of a 14 year old girl who was abducted from her house in Hatfield, Westmoreland, Jamaica was found this morning.
The police said Shelly Ann Gordon was at her house with family members around 11.30 p.m. last night when a group of gunmen broke into the house.
They say the girl was then abducted.
Her body was found in bushes with the throat slashed around 8 a.m. this morning.
The police cannot say whether the girl was raped.
Shelly-Ann was a student at the Frome Technical High School in Westmoreland.
The year ended with mounting concerns over the number of rapes and abduction.
However, last month the police reported that there were fewer incidents of rapes and carnal abuse when compared with January of last year.
