NCC approves Air Jamaica contracts

The National Contracts Commission (NCC) has approved the award of three contracts for fuel supply, storage and an aircraft lease extension for Air Jamaica Limited.
Energy companies Chevron, Shell, Total and the Cuban Government are among eight entities awarded a total of US$40 million for an extension of fuel supply at overseas destinations for a three month period.
US$500,000 has also been awarded to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to facilitate an extension of the distribution and storage of fuel at the JFK airport up to December next year.
Willis Lease Finance Corporation has been granted US$1.9 million for the extension of a lease agreement for an aircraft over a one year period.
