Dabdoub confident PNP will win dual citizenship cases

Published:Tuesday | March 3, 2009 | 6:10 PM

Mr Dabdoub has expressed confidence that the PNP will win the three dual citizenship cases now before the court.

These include the Stern/Azan matter.

Two other dual citizenship cases involve North East St Catherine MP Gregory Mair and Shahine Robinson, the North East St Ann MP.

The PNP’s Phyllis Mitchell is contending that Mr Mair was a Venezuelan citizen at the time of his nomination and is therefore not eligible be an MP.

A similar claim is being made by PNP elector Manley Bowen of the JLP’s Shahine Robinson.

Mr Bowen said Mrs Robinson was a US citizen at the time of her nomination for the 2007 General Election.
