Man killed in shoot-out with the police

A man was shot dead during a shoot-out with the police at Job Lane, Spanish Town, St. Catherine last night. A firearm was seized in the incident. Dead is Shawn Tulloch, 18, of Johns Road, Spanish Town.



Police reports are that about 11 p.m., a police team was on patrol in the Job Lane area where Tulloch was seen and accosted. However, he pulled a firearm and opened fire at the officers.



The fire was returned and he was shot. The weapon, a colt 9mm pistol – serial number erased – containing seven 9mm rounds, was seized. The injured man was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Bureau of Special Investigations is investigating.
