Nomination Day activities have been completed incident free in West Portland ahead of the March 23 by election.
Three candidates have been nominated.
The PNP’s Kenneth Rowe, the JLP’s Daryl Vaz and Independent Candidate Ras Astor Black.
Both the PNP and the JLP have embarked on motorcades after the Nomination.
The PNP will culminate its activities with a mass meeting in Buff Bay Square.
PNP president Portia Simpson Miller leads the team of party heavy weights for the rally.
It’s also reported that former PNP vice president Dr Peter Phillips will be there.
Dr Phillips has not been very active since his defeat to Mrs Simpson Miller in the September 2008 presidential election.
The PNP is seeking to provide maximum support to boost the chances for its proposed candidate Kenneth Rowe at the March 23 polls.
The Electoral Office of Jamaica says the November 2008 Voters’ List will be used for the by-election.
