President of the National Parent Teachers Association (NPTA), Sylvester Anderson believes parents have a major role to play in preventing their children from having sex at a young age.
He was speaking against the background of the proposed distribution of condoms in schools.
According to Mr. Anderson parents should be held accountable for children who engage in sexual activities.
It was reported on Monday that students across the country have been having sex at several schools.
Mr. Anderson said issuing condoms in schools would not protect the children, but encourage them to engage in illicit sexual activity.
