Unidentified man killed in Clarendon

One of two men, who pointed a gun at a policeman, was fatally shot at Palmetto Pen, May Pen, Clarendon yesterday.



The dead man, who is unidentified is in the early twenties, of dark complexion, medium build, about 173 centimeters tall and was clad in blue jeans pants and white T-Shirt.



Police reports are that around 4.45 p.m., a police officer was in Palmetto Pen when two men approached him, one of whom pointed a gun at him. The policeman took evasive action and pulled his firearm and fired shots at the gunmen, who fled the area. A search was conducted and one of the men was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.



The Bureau of Special Investigation is investigating.
