People with hearing disabilities could be granted drivers’ licenses within the next three to five years.
Transport and Works Minister Mike Henry says a series of training is now underway to facilitate this initiative.
He says policemen assigned to the Traffic Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force will also be trained to deal with hearing impaired drivers.
