Four shot, two fatally in Hanover

Four persons from Dias district, Hanover were shot, two fatally by gunmen in the community this morning.
Dead are Godfrey Cunningham, 41, carpenter and Lynford Richie, 45, taxi driver, while injured are a man and a woman aged 24 and 44 all of Dias district.
Police reports that around 12.30 a.m., Cunningham, the 24 year old man and the 44 year old woman were on the verandah of a house playing dominoes while Richie was inside the house sleeping.
Two masked men armed with hand guns walked up and demanded money. Before any of the persons could respond, the men fired shots, hitting the 24 year old man and the 44 year old woman. Cunningham ran into the house and locked the door, but the men kicked open the door and shot him.
Richie was awakened by the explosions and jumped through a window before gunmen shot him. The four were taken to hospital where Richie and Cunningham were pronounced dead and the other two admitted in stable condition.
The Kingsvale Police are investigating.
