Finance minister seeks to speed up contract award process

Finance Minister Audley Shaw has called for permanent secretaries to

take immediate steps to identify obstacles to the speedy processing of contract awards.



Mr. Shaw told the government accounting officers at a meeting yesterday, that the Finance Ministry is committed to the transparent award of contracts.



According to him, speedier processing will result in faster implementation of the government’s Public Sector Investment Programme to help stimulate the economy in these challenging times.
