The Peoples National Party (PNP) claimed that information released by the JLP regarding its members named as still having diplomatic passports in their possession was inaccurate.

The PNP said Drs Omar and Rose Davies, Dorothy Buchanan, K.D and Pauline Knight, Maxine Henry –Wilson and Gladstone Wilson, Aloun Assamba and Robert Pickersgill returned their diplomatic passports to the authorities shortly after the 2007 general election.

Other persons listed have indicated that the passports had expired, or not in use.

PNP President, Portia Simpson Miller, has since instructed all other PNP Members of Parliament and former ministers who have outstanding diplomatic passports to return them to the Clerk of the Houses of Parliament with immediate effect.
