PNP turns up the throttle in West Portland

The People’s National Party turns up the throttle on its West Portland by-election campaign today.

The Party’s youth arm will be staging a rally in Shrewsbury Square, St Margaret’s this evening.

Party president, Portia Simpson-Miller and vice presidents Fenton Ferguson and Noel Arscott are expected to address the rally.

The PNP’s Kenneth Rowe is running against the JLP’s Daryl Vaz and independent candidate Ras Astor Black in the March 23 by election.

Mr Vaz was ousted as MP two weeks ago after the Court of Appeal held that he was an American at the time of his nomination, which was in breach of the law.
