St. Ann farmer killed

Investigators in St. Ann’s Bay, St. Ann said they are following several leads in their attempts to locate the suspect in the murder of 43 year old Michael Spence yesterday.



Mr. Spence, a farmer was shot dead at Greenwich Park in Mammee Bay.



The police say around 4 p.m. in the afternoon Mr. Spence and two other men were at the location.



They say after a brief conversation one of the men went to a parked motorcar, returned with a gun and opened fire hitting Mr. Spence while the other man escaped.



The injured man reportedly ran from the premises, but later collapsed in nearby bushes and died.



The police say the gunman then escaped in the vehicle.



Investigators believe the suspect is a friend of Mr. Spence.
