A verdict is expected this afternoon in the murder trial of Sheldon Pusey for the stabbing death of former trade ambassador Peter King.
The 26 year old labourer has been on trial since January 19.
The jury has now retired to consider its verdict.
Justice Marva McIntosh this morning told the Home Circuit Court that three possible decisions could be made by the jury.
She said Pusey could be found not guilty, guilty of murder or guilty of manslaughter.
The Crown is alleging that Pusey stabbed and chopped Ambassador King at his Waterloo Road, St Andrew home between March 19 and 20, 2006.
Pusey’s lawyer is claiming that King was killed in self-defence.
