Rushan Hamilton, the 22 year old police constable accused of carnally abusing a 14 year old girl, returns to the Home Circuit Court today.

The girl who lived in Harbour View St Andrew has been missing since October last year when she filed a complaint to the police.

The police believe she was killed.

The girl was abducted from her gate by men travelling in a van.

Hamilton who has been in custody since October is expected to go on trial when his case is called up today.

The Crown is alleging that the girl was sexually molested on October 4, 2008, at the barracks at the Elleston Road Police Station in Kingston.

The Crown will be applying under the Evidence Amendment Act to have the girl’s statement admitted in evidence when the trial begins.
