The company said it has received several calls from customers who say they have been contacted on their cell phones and informed that they’ve won large sums of money.

Corporate Affairs Manager at Digicel, Jacqueline Burrell is warning customers to be wary of any such calls.

She’s also urging Digicel customers to call the company’s customer care department immediately after receiving any call regarding cash or other prizes:

Mrs. Burrell says the police are also aware of the scam and are conducting investigations.

Just last week, another telecommunications company, LIME warned customers of a similar scam.
