More support is coming for the wards of the Matha’s House Children’s Home in central Kingston which was destroyed by fire on Monday night.
Today, RBBT Bank will present $120,000 to help to rebuild the home, which is operated by the Mustard Seed Communities.
The non-profit organisation is trying to raise $15 million to restart the operations of the home.
An account has been opened at RBTT called The Mustard Seed Children’s Home Rebuilding Fund to raise money for the project.
The 30 children who lived at the home are now being housed at two other hostels operated by the Mustard Seed Communities.
One of their caregiver remains hospitalised with a broken ankle after jumping from the burning building with two children in her arms.
