Tesha denied bail again
Reputed Clansman gang leader 27-year-old Tesha Miller was been denied bail when he appeared in the Home Circuit Court today on a murder charge.
Miller will be tried on June 8 for the April 2004 murder of Rohan Haughton.
In applying for bail, defence lawyers Valerie Neita-Robertson and Everton Bird said the case has been dragging on since 2004.
The lawyers said even when priority dates were set for the trial, the Crown was not ready.
But the Crown opposed the application on the basis that Miller’s bail was revoked in July last year because he had breached one of the conditions.
Justice Kay Beckford then turned down the application.
Miller was also on a triple murder charge, which was withdrawn in October last year because the police had difficulty locating the sole eyewitness.
He was told that if the witness was found, he could be re-arrested and charged for the murders of Orane Jackson, Jeffrey Johnson and Nicole Allen.
The three were fatally shot on January 14, 2005 at Cresser Lane, Braeton, St. Catherine.
