Luciano questioning continues

Up to late last night detectives were still questioning popular reggae artist Luciano in connection with a daring shooting incident at his St Andrew home and studio which left three policemen wounded and an alleged gunman dead.



The 45 year old popular entertainer whose real name is Jepther McClymont could be faced with multiple charges.



Detectives are expected to return to the house today with Luciano and his attorney to continue their search of the premises.



Its reported that the reggae artist was not at the house at the time of the shooting.



The alleged gunman who the police say was wanted for several major crimes has since been identified as Andrew ‘Conqueror’ Senior.



The police report that the incident began around 5.30 a.m. yesterday, when they acted on information and went to the premises on Westminster Crescent off Red Hills Road in search of Senior.



Its further reported that they were about to enter the house when they were greeted with gunfire.



One policemen was hit in the leg and another in the groin.



A third policeman, who attempted to rescue his injured colleagues, was shot in the face.



During the shooting, Senior was heard declaring that he was determined to kill members of the force and boasting about the amount of ammunition he had.



Investigators say they recovered a high powered weapon from the scene.
