Man found dead after escaping fire

The Central Village Police in St. Catherine South are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man at his home at Browns Lane, Central Village this morning.



Dead is 28-year-old Clayton Daniels.



Police reports are that about 2:30 a.m., Daniels and his girlfriend were at home when they were awoken by explosions and realised the house was on fire. Both ran from the house. Neighbours, having realized that Daniels was missing went in search of him and found his body, with a gunshot wound, lying at the rear of the premises. The police were summoned and the body removed to the morgue for post mortem. Investigations continue.
