Gas stations running low on fuel

A number of gas stations in the corporate area are now low on fuel in the wake of the strike action by tanker drivers on Tuesday.
Following the intervention of the Energy Minister Clive Mullings, and a meeting with the management of the state owned oil refinery Petrojam on Tuesday, the drivers were promised that repairs would be carried out to defective loading bays today.
While the drivers have returned to work, the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association, JGRA says most service stations are not likely to have their regular supply of petrol before Saturday morning.
JGRA President Trevor Barnes says some stations have already reported that they are out of fuel.
