The Governor General has appointed a new appeals tribunal, under the Access to Information Act.
This follows the expiration of the tenure of the members of the previous tribunal.
The new members of the tribunal are Justice Wellesley James, Professor Edward Baugh, John Maxwell and Dorothy Pine McLarty.
Head of the Access to Information Unit Damion Cox says at present there are no appeals before the tribunal.
He was making a presentation in Gordon House yesterday at a meeting of a joint select committee of Parliament reviewing the Access to Information Act.
The committee, which is chaired by Information Minister, Olivia Grange, held its first meeting of the parliamentary year to review the seven-year-old Act.
