THE PRESS Association of Jamaica (PAJ) and the Media Association Jamaica (MAJ) have joined forces to look at the survival of media houses and journalists in this troubling economic climate.

'Media and Money' is the title of a forum to be staged by the PAJ and the MAJ on Tuesday, November 30 at The Courtleigh Hotel in New Kingston, starting at 6 p.m.

The forum will be one of the activities to mark National Journalism Week, which is slated to run from November 28 to December 4.

Under the theme 'Media Survival in a Challenging Economic Environment', the forum will look at how media houses can grow their revenue and personal financial planning for journalists.

Presenters will include general manager of Television Jamaica, Kay Osborne, and Oral McCook, managing director of OGM Integrated Communications Limited.

The forum is open to the public, but attendees must register at the PAJ's head office by calling Caudene Robinson 631-6390 or emailing her at pressassociationjamaica@gmail.com.
