Jobs and more jobs coming - Golding

Prime Minister Bruce Golding yesterday hinted that the promise of jobs, jobs and more jobs may not be far away.

Golding, who was speaking at a political meeting yesterday, said for Jamaicans at least one major project is to be undertaken by overseas investors.

However, the prime minister said he was not at liberty to disclose the details because the principals have indicated that some of the agreement are still not signed.

"We talking about big bucks, we talking 'bout whole heapa jobs and I am itching to be able to announce it because I know the hope that it would bring," he told Jamaica Labour Party supporters in St Andrew.

Pointing out that a number of other projects are in the pipeline, Golding said he was more than guardedly optimistic that "things are about to start happening in a big way".
