Iran woos the Caribbean

Below: Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator the Hon Marlene Malahoo Forte, accepts Copy Letters of Credentials from Iranian Ambassador-designate to Jamaica, Dr Ali Chegeni. The Ambassador-designate who is based in Havana, Cuba, is expected to further the Iranian process of reviewing its existing relations with Latin America and the Caribbean, with a view to strengthening existing ties. The presentation took place at the Foreign Ministry in New Kingston on Monday, July 18, 2011.

'Recycled Teenagers'

Members of the 'Recycled Teenagers' group perform during the Ministry of Labour and Social Security's Energy Conservation Awards ceremony, which recognised individuals and departments for their contribution in lowering the ministry's energy bill by J$9 billion in the last fiscal year.
