Red Bones the Blues Café was the venue for the launch and book signing of Mike Henry's first of three books on his life and works; Many Rivers to Cross: A Political Journey of Audacious Hope, on Tuesday night. Members of the political community, corporate well-wishers, family and friends turned out to support Henry on his journey into the wonderful world of literature.

With copies of the book on display for all to see and purchase at a discounted rate, the politician, now author, was kept busy signing books and paused for a few photo opportunities.

Publishing

Published by LMH Publishing Limited, the function doubled as a birthday celebration for the esteemed author. His wife, Dawn, who is also the editor of the book, describes her husband as a visionary and declared that this book was the first of three books her husband plans to write. The editor of the book, Reginald Allen, explains that the book reflects the life and works of the knowledgeable and experienced Henry.

Henry, in his remarks, spoke of the many pressing issues affecting Jamaica and highlighted some things that he notes must change. The night ended with the singing of 'Happy Birthday' to the man of the hour, as he cut his birthday cake with family members.
