In partnership with Bacchanal Jamaica, Red Stripe is ensuring that everyone who is consuming alcohol at carnival this year is of the legal drinking age. An age-verification system is in place at the entry each week to check for valid ID's before each person is considered for a Drink Right armband.

Jermaine Bibbons, brand manager for Smirnoff, explains that without this Drink Right armband, one is unable to purchase alcohol at the venue. The execution was supported by newspaper ads throughout the leadup to this weekend, reminding persons to bring valid IDs to show at each venue. The message was also communicated on all artwork relating to the festival.

"We implore consumers this carnival season to Drink Right: right age, right amount, right way and to always select a designated driver when they party," Bibbons said.

rehydrating mechanism

According to Bibbons, in addition to tackling underage drinking they also have a mechanism in place to ensure that persons are rehydrating themselves while partying. Patrons can also enjoy the exciting Smirnoff cocktails created from the extraordinary mixable 'flavours of carnival', Smirnoff original and Smirnoff green apple.

In its latest promotion, 'Play with the Flavours of Carnival' will be offering a free 1.25ml Ting with the purchase of a Smirnoff Vodka Original 750ml or a Smirnoff Vodka Green Apple 750ml.

Carnival fans who are planning to hit the road can indulge in this promotion. Whether purchasing the Smirnoff products as a group with friends or individually, the offer is yours for the taking.
