Lawyers push bail for Cash Plus boss

The lawyers representing Cash Plus boss, Carlos Hill, his brother Bertram and another person linked to the company are trying to get bail for their clients.



The three are before the corporate area Resident Magistrates Court on fraud charges.



The Head of the Organised Crime Investigation Division, Superintendent Fitz Bailey is asking the court not to grant Mr. Hill and his brother bail.



He said they could be a flight risk.



Mr. Hill, his brother Bertram and Chief Financial Officer, Peter Wilson were charged on Tuesday, following the collapse of the alternative investment entity and complaints by investors.



Carlos Hill has been charged with four counts of fraudulent conversion and four counts of obtaining money by false pretence.



He is also charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud.



Bertram Hill and Peter Wilson are each charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud.
