Customers of the National Water Commission (NWC) will see an increase in their water bills come the end of June.
The new rates that were granted by the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) on Monday take effect today.
Corporate Communications Manager at the NWC, Charles Buchanan said customers will be required to make payments within the next 2 months.
The 28 percent tariff increase includes a 5 percent K-factor.
This will be used to fund the NWC’s capital projects, as well as to rehabilitate its network.
