Fire fighters of the Hanover Fire Department and members of the Bull Bay community rescued two seamen shortly before 10 o\'clock last night, after the vessel in which they were travelling became shipwrecked.

According to watch commander of the Hanover Fire Department, Sergeant Conroy Ghans, the men were sailing from the town of Black River aboard the Amber Rae and were on their way to dock at Mosquito Cove near Sandy Bay in Hanover.

Upon reaching the Bulls Bay community, the ship was pushed by raging waters on to the reefs. Residents reportedly heard the men crying for help and assisted in the rescue efforts.
