Three on gun charge

The police in St. Thomas have charged three persons in connection with the seizure of an illegal gun in the parish this morning.



Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition are 67 Peter Franklyn,67; Primose Faulknor,37, and Bonitto Faulknor 36, all of Paul Bogle Drive in the parish.



The police say the three were arrested during a special operation.



According to the police, between 3.30 and 7a.m today an operation was carried out in the Red Hills Housing Scheme in Morant Bay.



During a search of a house occupied by the three, a Smith and Wesson point 4.0 semi automatic pistol and two ear muffs were found.



They are expected to appear in the Morant Bay Resident Magistrates court next week Wednesday.
