A policeman and policewoman who are charged with breaches of the Anti- Corruption Act are to appear in the Buff Bay Resident Magistrates Court in Portland this afternoon.
They are Special Corporal Marsha Dennis and Corporal Devon Richards.
The two were arrested on December 15 after they allegedly collected $12,000 dollars from a motorist who was stopped and searched during a routine spot check near Port Antonio.
The police report that contraband was found in the vehicle, and the money was paid over to the two police personnel.
Investigators say the motorist was sent on his way, but was again stopped in Manchioneal by a police party and related his story.
Both Dennis and Richards were pointed out during identification parades.
