The Ministry of Finance said its trying to determine the reason for the delay in interest payments on the government’s 200 million euro bond to some local investors.
The payments were due yesterday.
But the Ministry said it has been brought to its attention that some investors have not been credited with the principal and interest payments.
The ministry is further advising investors that while the payment amount of 221 million euro was due yesterday, the government credited the paying agent, Deutsche Bank AG, on Tuesday.
