\'Golden Ager\' killed in Westmoreland

A 72-year-old man was killed after he reportedly stepped into the path of a motorcar on the Petersfield main road, Westmoreland this morning.
He has been identified as Richard Hudson of Whithorn district in the parish.
Police reports are that about 9:15 a.m., Hudson, who had just disembarked a taxi, was in the process of crossing the road when he was hit by a brown Honda motorcar registered 1863FC.
He sustained head injuries and was taken to the Sav–la-mar Public Hospital where he died while being treated.
