Motorcyclist collides with utility pole, dies

Thirty-nine-year-old Dervent Channer of Ridge Pen district in Mount Side, St Elizabeth succumbed to injuries he received in a motor vehicle collision on the Beacon main road in the parish yesterday.
Reports from the Pedro Plains Police are that about 10:30 yesterday morning Channer was driving a motorcycle along the roadway when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
He was taken to hospital and died while undergoing treatment
The police are investigating the matter.
