Jamaica Forum of Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (J-FLAG) says it doesn't believe it is disrespectful to host Pride Week activities during the Emancipendence holiday period.
J-FLAG's director of projects and strategy, Jaevion Nelson, says the holiday period is appropriate as Emancipation and Independence celebrations commemorate the same values J-FLAG promotes.
