Gary 'Butch' Hendrickson, CEO of Continental Baking Company Limited (National), is the Private Sector Hall of Fame inductee for 2016.

The Private Sector Organ-isation of Jamaica (PSOJ), in making the announcement, said, "Butch is a fantastic son of Jamaica, and we look forward to welcoming him into our distinguished Hall of Fame."

It said that in addition to having skilfully guided Continental on a path of profitability, where it is now the leading producer of innovative baked goods in Jamaica, Hendrickson was also well known for his philanthropic efforts, such as the Bold Ones, Crayons Count, A Jamaican Made Christmas Expo, and his latest initiative, Little Leaders.

The PSOJ thanked the persons who submitted nominations for this year's Private Sector Hall of Fame awardee.

"Each nominee was a strong contender and we are proud to know that so many good, hard-working people, who are not only business leaders, but also actively giving back to society, can be found within the private sector," the PSOJ said.

The awards banquet is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
