Technology Minister rushed to hospital after being injured in Portmore crash
Technology Minister Andrew Wheatley has been rushed to hospital with injuries he received in a three-vehicle crash in Portmore, St Catherine around 9 o'clock this morning.
The crash happened at the four-way intersection of Passageforth, Portsmouth, Waterford and Independence City.

People who said they witnessed the crash reported that the driver of the black Toyota Prado in which the minister was travelling disobeyed the traffic signal then swerved to avoid hitting a car before the vehicle overturned.
Two other cars then hit the Prado.

Police quickly arrived on the scene and rushed the minister to a hospital.
However, his driver, who was wearing a police identification card, remained behind gathering documents that had scattered in the vehicle on the impact of the crash.

One woman who was driving one of the cars reported that she was injured and was placed in an ambulance to be taken to a hospital.
The driver of the other car did not report any injuries.
