$10M ganja haul in Manchester
The security forces have scored another massive ganja haul.
The latest occurred in Manchester yesterday where ganja valued at approximately $10 million was seized by the Narcotics Police.
The police say there was no arrest.
It comes a day after the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard reportedly seized 1,384 pounds of compressed ganja, with a street value of $5.5 million, onboard a vessel in waters along the coastline in Black River, St Elizabeth
Yesterday’s seizure came during an operation in the community of Guts River.
The police report that about 1 p.m. detectives from the Narcotics Division searched a vegetated area where they found 27 knitted plastic bags containing 2,500 pounds of compressed ganja.
